Al Haggounia 001 was originally classified as an aubrite achondrite, but it has since been recognized that it is actually a chondrite, just one that has been extensively modified by heat since its formation. The recommended classification EL-melt rock means: "An enstatite chondrite of the EL group which has been melted."
